Of course LEGAL immigrants should be welcome and they contribute greatly to the strength of the nation that receives them. If they are willing to comply with immigration laws to begin with, they are most likely to legally engage in strenghtening the marketplace.

I think what you are doing is very business savvy but somewhat immoral:

Why is it business savvy? Because I am an immigrant with patents in over 20 countries, dozens of scientific papers, and so far, it looks like my drug helps women with breast and ovarian cancer (other types of cancer and non-cancerous diseases of inflammation are on the way). Indeed, investing in people like me, who had the courage to move from one place to another, is a good investment strategy.

Why do I think it is highly immoral? Because if an opposite strategy would be articulated today in the US, β€œwe invest in locals only and immigrants should not apply,” this fund would be crucified with all the might and power of dominant PC outrage and (semi)governmental institutions. Thus, if one approach is free to manifest, and an opposite approach would be discriminated against, I think what you are doing is somewhat immoral under the current political climate. As soon as it become possible to form a fund for non-immigrants only without being accused and attacked, I would not mind becoming an investee or an LP:) But not today.

And, BTW, I think creating something β€œfor immigrants only” is the best way to spark and justify xenophobia.
