We hope you had a productive spring and a relaxing start to your summer! Over the past few months, we’ve been busy investing in a multitude of companies and assisting our current portfolio in their fundraising journeys.
In this update, we’re excited to share a special team highlight and all of the accomplishments made in Q2.

🔎 New Investments
📑 Provision is a Toronto-based ML company building a document intelligence platform for the construction industry. They redefine how documents are interacted with, saving thousands of hours of work and reducing liabilities in the process. They are a part of the current YC batch.
Provision was founded by Italian-Canadian immigrant, Luigi La Corte, Estonian immigrant, Osvald Nitski, and South African immigrant, Brendan Ardagh.
One Way Ventures led their $1M pre-seed round.
🩺 Quantivly is helping hospitals and providers deliver patient-centered healthcare by unlocking radiology data with AI technology.
Quantivly was founded by French immigrant, Benoit Scherrer, who at 15 years old, was the youngest finalist of Prologin, a French national programming contest. Benoit was an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, post-doc.
One Way Ventures participated in their $1.7M pre-seed round.
💳 Onyx is reimagining luxury with its modern, luxury credit card membership experience that is personalized and curated just for you, by automating and anticipating your lifestyle needs and wants.
Onyx was founded by Brazilian immigrant and second-time portfolio founder, Victor Santos.
🚥 Axle Technologies, Inc. is a universal data platform for trucking to enable new applications in fleet management, fuel cards, insurance, logistics, and more. Axle brings together data to enable developers to build the future of transportation.
The company was founded by Indian immigrant and Harvard grad, Dhruv Gupta, and Chinese immigrant, Jinyan Zang.
One Way Ventures led their $2.5M Seed round.

🗞 Corvus Robotics raises Seed round to continue building one of the first unmanned warehouse inventory drones to enable fully automated inventory management. [TechCrunch]
🗞 CareAcademy, a Boston-based startup that aims to provide home care professionals with opportunities to climb the career ladder, received a $20 million strategic investment, led by Goldman Sachs' “One Million Black Women Initiative”. [Yahoo Finance]
🗞 Preply, a marketplace where language tutors and students of different languages connect for online learning sessions, has closed a Series C round of $50 million. [TechCrunch]
💡 Spotlight
It’s been a year since Leo joined us following roles at Sequoia Capital, Yard Ventures, and Polymath Ventures. In that short time, Leo has made a significant impact by championing deals like Debbie, leading our VC relationships, and contributing to all aspects of our growth fund. An immigrant from Colombia, Leo brings an invaluable perspective on the LatAm market and community.
His efforts driving our Series A fundraising program have won him praise from our portfolio founders. He’s always up for a challenge and never shy to debate ideas, making us all better investors and operators.

CashForRefugees: Since flying to Romania to help Ukrainian refugees, Semyon and his wife Natasha have founded a global non-profit called CashForRefugees, which has since scaled rapidly to include 100 active volunteers, which has since scaled rapidly to include 100 active volunteers.
